What do you think a real friend is?

In my class, we play a lot. We talk, we chase, we do a lot of things together. But who of all my friends, 25 friends will be my real friend when I am in need? When I am in trouble or sad or mad? Not all, I don't think. I have 6 friends that come to mind. There might be more, or there might be less. So that means, I have about 6 friends who will be my real friend. It's a little more than 1/5.

So, you might get a question. What do I think a real friend is? I think a real friend is a friend who will stand by your side anytime. A friend that will not leave me alone. A friend that will stand up for you in a situation hard to stand up for. I don't think you don't have to fight to be a real friend. You can fight and you can feel angry. You might want to yell. But, I think a real friend is a friend that can say sorry. I think a real friend is a friend who will say "It's OK" when you say you are sorry. If you don't fight, that might mean you don't feel comfortable. It's ok to fight. But you need to learn. "Oh, she doesn't like it when I do this" or "Ok. he likes this when I do it".

I don't think a real friend should give gifts to you, or always do what you say. Sometimes, friends should say "No" to what they don't like and "Don't do it" when you are doing something wrong. Gifts can be great, but it is not essential. You can be good friends when you don't receive gifts too.

So, this is what I think a real friend is. What do you think a real friend is? Do you think it is a friend who can stay with you when you are in need? Or do you think It's a friend who is kind to you? Or a friend who has been friends with you for a long time?

Whatever it is, I know it will be a little bit different from mine. But I think it will be a great reason. I hope you, whoever you are, will make great friends, and real friends and be happy!
