These days, many people predict that AI will replace many human jobs. It is a good thing, since people who work in dangerous environments can work safer. However, it can lead to a serious problem, when AIs also replace safe jobs such as call services. Then, people will have nowhere to earn money to survive. Similar problems are already occurring in the MZ generation. In 2018, the unemployment rate of people in their 20s was 9.5%, which is two and a half times higher than the total average.

 

Usually, when I walk into a coffee shop nowadays, no single worker looks happy or energetic, which also makes me less happy and energetic. When I hear my dad call companies, it takes about 10 minutes or more to get the right answer. From these points of view, it seems like almost no one can work better than AIs. Then, what could people do not to get replaced by AIs?

 

The most important thing is to find your skills that AIs cannot have. AIs have good memories, and they are smart and fast. They can talk like they actually have feelings. However, we have our advantages. We can be more creative and humorous than AIs. We have more deep feelings so we can empathize well. When unexpected situations happen, we humans can solve the problem cleverly based on our knowledge while AIs will stand there doing nothing. We should start building our knowledge and skills to use AIs in a good way instead of getting replaced by them. I predict that people who just work every day without a single change in their work skills, voice tones, and facial expressions will lose their job in no time.

 

Start concerning about losing your job seriously. Start developing yourself and your skills. Never think that you cannot, because everyone has talents. God has made people in that way.​
