  • Why Studying Matters

Some people believe that studying is not that essential because they can grow up to be maybe a thing that is available without education (e.g. a YouTube star or maybe a TikTok person). You don't need to be smart always, and you could occasionally become whatever you want when the time comes. Others oppose this because brains are like muscles, you can understand more, and it improves bouncing back from hard tasks.

Firstly, brains are like muscles. Muscles are developed using weights and training hard. That is what learning does to your brain. For your brain, brainstorming and thinking hard are like weights. For example, imagine you were doing a maths quiz and were thinking of the answer to it. The term used for this is "your brain is exercising". This is because your brain feels the maths question, or whatever subject's problem can be used, as your brain is exercising. Therefore, brains can be related to muscles.

Secondly, the more your brain exercises, the better you understand. In recent studies, people are more likely to understand what teachers or professors say because of their wide breadth of knowledge. For instance, Marie Curie learnt a lot of French at Sorbonne University because her French teacher spoke too fast. For the first few times, when she was still studying, she couldn't understand. But she got used to it and knew every word he said. Thus, you can understand better by studying.

Lastly, studying improves resilience. While you are studying, you come across a lot of hardships, and that's true. But the more you overcome those hardships, the more you get to know how to be resilient and become more resilient to these types of hardships. Overall, sometimes studying can generally support you.

In conclusion, I believe that studying is good for your brain because your brain is like a muscle, you can understand better, and your resilience improves.
