Artificial intelligence has already taken over several jobs. From now on, how many more will disappear? If artificial intelligence continues to improve, what effect will it have on our daily lives? In this essay, I will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on jobs. I strongly argue that there will be a significant impact on employment as artificial intelligence becomes more sophisticated.

First, artificial intelligence will affect the hotel industry. There are already many hotels where artificial intelligence is being used. In Japan, some hotels are run almost entirely by robots. “Henn na Hotel,” for example, is operated by robots. The concierge, receptionists, bellhops, and even waiters are automated. In the near future, many more hotels may become fully automated.

Second, artificial intelligence will impact restaurants. In Japan, some chefs have already been replaced by robots. “Kura,” a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, has introduced automation. This trend is not limited to Japan. Automated sushi chefs have appeared in the United States as well. “Sushi Station,” which opened in the United States in 2016, uses robots to prepare and slice sushi rolls. According to its president, Aki Noda, “it does wonders.”

Third, artificial intelligence may affect lawyers. In the future, a significant portion of legal consultations could be carried out online. Just as Uber replaced many taxi drivers, online platforms may replace some attorneys who provide basic legal services.

In conclusion, these examples show that many jobs are at risk. The impact of artificial intelligence on employment could become a serious issue in the future.
