Should students use AI on their school work?

Have you ever imagined a world without AI? Would it be completely different from the world we live in today?

These days, AI is everywhere—at school, at home, even on our phones. But I believe students should not use AI for schoolwork.

First, using AI too much can cause both mental and physical problems. For example, students may develop poor eyesight from staring at screens too long. They might also become overly dependent on AI and get used to not thinking for themselves.

Second, AI is not always correct. Sometimes, it doesn’t fully understand what you’re asking. It can give you wrong or confusing answers, which could hurt your learning.

Third, relying on AI can make students less creative. Instead of coming up with original ideas, they might just copy what the AI says. This makes it harder for them to grow their own thinking skills.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that students should not rely on AI for schoolwork. I challenge you: next time you're tempted to ask AI for help, try solving it on your own first. You might be surprised by what you can do.​
