  • Hard work vs Luck
Some people think that to be successful, being lucky is important and others think that hard work is important. There isn’t a single answer. However, I think that hard working is more important because of these 3 reasons. You can’t always be lucky. Also you can learn something from working hard and lastly, you can be prepared for the same situation in the future.

             First of all, you can’t always be lucky. Almost everyone has had at least one experience that they felt they were lucky like passing a test by luck. However, you can’t always be lucky.  For example, someone may catch the school bus just at the last second. However, the next day, the person couldn’t catch the bus and be late for school. From this example, we can know that we can’t always be lucky.

             Secondly, working hard allows people to develop their skills and knowledge. When you work hard, you can remember the information, and it will be useful for you. However, if you luckily get something right by guessing, you won’t know it in the future. For example, Thomas Edison failed many times, but worked hard and learned from his mistakes about what doesn’t work. Through working hard, he finally invented the light bulb.

            Lastly, hard work and effort make you prepared for the same situation in the future. For example, if someone works hard to win a soccer competition, even if this person loses, this person could be prepared for the next match. However, if this person just won because of luck, this person might not be able to win the next time without luck. From this story, we can see that we need to be independent from relying on sheer.

             By working hard, you can learn or develop a skill and can be prepared for the same situation. Also you need to understand that can’t always be lucky. Being lucky is good, but hard work is more important. I hope that people don’t just wait for luck, but work hard for the better future.
