My Opinion about School Uniforms

 Many schools have school uniforms. However, uniforms for students-for daily and sport activities-could be uncomfortable. You could have to change clothes during the short recess in between classes, and the uniform could get you too cold or too hot for you. then, what are the advantages and disadvantages of school uniforms? Do we always have to wear them?

 First, the advantages of school uniforms are as follows: School uniforms show that you are a student, and which school you are attending to. You don't need to waste your time choosing clothes every day, and you can share a sense of belonging. Also, wearing a uniform can seem neat and presentable. On the other hand, there are things that would make you hesitate to wear the uniforms.

 As I became a middle school student, I wore my school uniform and sport uniform every day. But they are uncomfortable to change and wearing them got me cold in winter. Because I have to wear them through three years, I initially got them bigger than my size. That made the uniforms too uncomfortable for me. I believe students should be given rights to express themselves through wearing their own clothes instead of uniforms. In order to avoid students getting carried away, having a rule to the kinds of clothes students can wear is a good idea. For example, schools can set rules like ‘mini skirts are not allowed’, or they can decide the kind or color of clothes they can put on such as ‘black or white T-shirts’, ‘hooded T-shirts’, and ‘sportswear pants’, etc.

 At my school, there are class T-shirts and it could be an alternative to school uniforms. But school uniforms certainly have advantages, so I suggest wearing school uniform when they are really needed like on important school events. The best solution could be making more comfortable school uniforms such as hooded T-shirts or padded coat uniforms.

 Most students all over the country are wearing school uniforms every day. Considering both the advantages and disadvantages of school uniforms, I reckon school uniforms have to change taking into account comfort, versatility, and personal taste of students. What do you think?
