- The Missing Birthday Snake: A Reminder of What We Treasure

The story begins when Nate the Great meets Rosamond and her cousin Elizabeth. Elizabeth has many pet snakes, and all their names end with “Chomp.” But on her birthday, her biggest snake, Ultra-Giant Goliath Chomp, suddenly goes missing!
Nate the Great starts looking for clues. He searches Elizabeth’s backyard, the street, and many other places—even though it is raining all day. Nate keeps saying, “I, Nate the Great…” as he carefully checks every clue. He even finds a beaver while he is investigating. After putting all the clues together, Nate finally discovers Ultra-Giant Goliath Chomp hiding in some bushes. Thanks to Nate, the snake is safely returned, and everyone enjoys a happy birthday party.
In the end, this story taught me something important. Elizabeth was very worried about her missing snake because it was special to her. When it came back, everyone felt relieved and happy. It reminded me that the things—or people—we care about may seem small or ordinary to others, but they can mean a lot to us. We should treasure our family, friends, and even the little things in our daily lives, just like Elizabeth treasured her birthday snake.
