https://upfile.neungyule.com/upload_admin/2024/11/58_p05.jpgThe world’s first audio museum opened in Seoul this summer. The Audeum Audio Museum was founded by entrepreneur Chung Mong-jin to commemorate his late father.

Located in Seocho-gu, the museum sits near Cheonggyesan Mountain. The building, designed by architect Kengo Kuma, features a unique entrance. It appears as though hundreds of organ pipes are hanging over the front of the building.

Inside the seven-story building, exhibition spaces display a collection of audio equipment. They showcase the evolution of audio from the invention of the phonograph in 1877 to present-day sound systems.

The museum’s first exhibition is titled “The Journey of Sound: True Tone.” This exhibition celebrates the creation of high-fidelity (hi-fi)* sound. Audio equipment enthusiasts can enjoy various kinds of hi-fi music and get a glimpse of sound systems from the past.

Visitors are encouraged to book an appointment and discover the history of audio equipment. A spokesperson for the museum said that everyone “can enjoy and connect with the world of sound.”

세계 최초 오디오 박물관

세계 최초의 오디오 박물관이 올여름 서울에 개관했다. 오디움 오디오 박물관은 사업가 정몽진이 돌아가신 그의 아버지를 기리기 위해 설립했다.

서초구에 위치한 그 박물관은 청계산 인근에 자리 잡고 있다. 건축가 쿠마 켄고가 설계한 그 건물은 독특한 입구를 특징으로 한다. 그것은 수백 개의 오르간 파이프들이 그 건물 앞에 매달려 있는 것처럼 보인다.

그 7층짜리 건물의 내부에는, 전시 공간들에 오디오 장비 컬렉션이 전시되어 있다. 그것들은 1877년 축음기 발명부터 현재의 사운드 시스템들까지 오디오의 진화를 보여준다.

그 박물관의 첫 전시는 “정음: 소리의 여정”이라는 제목이다. 이 전시는 하이파이 사운드의 탄생을 기념한다. 오디오 장비 팬들은 다양한 종류들의 하이파이 음악을 즐길 수 있고 과거의 사운드 시스템들을 엿볼 수 있다.

방문객들은 예약을 하고 오디오 장비의 역사를 발견하도록 권장된다. 그 박물관의 한 대변인은 모든 사람이 “소리의 세계를 즐기고 그것과 연결될 수 있다” 말했다.
