Community service benefits students in many ways. However, there are also some disadvantages.

Should students have to do community service?

I think students should have to do community service. Everyone should give back to the community, and it’s important to start young. If schools do not expect it, many students will simply never volunteer.

I think students should not be forced to do community service. If they are forced, they are not choosing to volunteer their time. This ruins the spirit of volunteering. Schools should encourage students to volunteer instead.

I think community service benefits students in many ways. It can make them more responsible people. It might also give them valuable job experience. They will be better prepared for the future.

I think mandatory community service is too stressful for students. They are already so busy with tests, assignments, college applications, and part-time jobs. They do not have enough time or energy to do community service, too.
