Lunar Calendar

The lunar year follows the lunar calendar. It is based on the moon’s movements.

Also, each year is represented by an animal on the Chinese zodiac. There are 12 animals in the zodiac cycle.

Year of the Dragon

This year’s zodiac animal is the Dragon. It is the fifth animal on the Chinese zodiac.*

The Dragon is strong, healthy, and very lucky. So, many people expect 2024 to be a good year.

Famous Dragons

In the past, many famous people were born in the Year of the Dragon. They include actor Im Si-wan, singer Karina of Aespa, and Yeji of Itzy. In the United States,* actress Emma Stone and children’s book author Dr. Seuss are Dragons, too.
