In her final professional match, Kim got a perfect ending to her career. She played for the championship title of Korea’s volleyball league, called V-League.

Kim’s team, the Pink Spiders, faced off against the Red Sparks in the V-League championship series. The fifth and final match was held in Incheon on April 8th.

The match was tense, but the Pink Spiders managed to win and become champions. Kim scored a team-high 34 points and was named the MVP.*

With the win, Kim finished her 20-year career with a championship title. In total, she has won five league titles with the Pink Spiders.

Kim began playing professional volleyball in 2005. She also played overseas for teams in Japan, Turkey, and China. She is regarded as a top volleyball player not only in Korea but also around the world.

“I have no regrets about my career,” Kim said. “I gave it my all.”
