The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO)* is the domestic baseball league, which is composed of 10 teams. In 2024, the league set a record when over 10 million people bought tickets for games.

This season is also expected to attract millions of fans to the stadiums. They will cheer for their favorite team to perform well in the regular season and the playoffs.*

Last year, the Kia Tigers won the Korean Series for the 12th time. The team from Gwangju will try to repeat as the champions.

Meanwhile, two KBO teams have dynamic new looks this year. The Hanwha Eagles and the Doosan Bears have redesigned their logos and uniforms.

In addition, two veteran players are expected to reach important milestones sometime this season. Choi Jeong of the SSG Landers will likely become the first KBO player to hit 500 career home runs.

Pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin of the Eagles has 186 total wins from playing in the KBO and MLB.* He needs just 14 more victories to reach 200 career wins.

야구가 돌아왔다!

의심할 여지없이, 야구는 한국에서 가장 인기 있는 스포츠다. 3월 22일, 새로운 프로야구 시즌이 시작되면서 팬들이 신이 났다.

한국야구위원회(Korea Baseball Organization)는 국내 야구 리그이고 10개 팀들로 구성된다. 그 리그는 2024년에는 1,000만 명이 넘는 사람들이 경기들을 위한 티켓들을 사면서 기록을 세웠다.

이글스의 투수 류현진 선수는 KBO와 메이저리그(MLB) 통산 186승을 가지고 있다. 그는 200승까지 도달하기 위해 14승만 더 필요하다.
