Paying teachers based on students' performance can destroy both the students' and the teachers' creativity. Due to the fact that the payment is extremely hard to accurately measure the teachers' performances based on their pupils' test scores, some might get more salary from which they got before even though they didn't work that hard, while some get less though they worked hard- which means it's unpredictable- and even unfair. If this unfair payment of the teachers repeats, some hardworking teachers will have less belief towards the students who might have made them get less money and a competitive feeling towards the other teachers being paid more. Because the teachers have to focus only on the students' test scores in order to stabilize their life, they will lose creativity, where the class watch movies, play board games, play sports, and other activities aside from the school educational curriculum. An example of this can be friendship. I'm not saying that teachers will torture them into studying almost all the time during school aside from eating sessions. What I'm saying is that the fewer activities you have- those I have referred to before -, the less laugh and the less chat you will have with your friend, which destroys both friendship and creativity.
Also, the payments would be unpredictable. First, standardized tests do not show everything. There are lots of things that these standards can't catch, most being important; for example, students' behaviors in class should be measured, in order to distinguish whether their lack of scores is caused by the lack of education given by the teacher or by themselves. Lastly, it is too unpredictable. Say there is a class that consisted of students who don¡¯t even have the slightest effort to listen to their teacher, who is hardworking on educating the students. We understand that it is not the case of all the teachers. But still, this case would happen a lot in classes, which makes it both unpredictable and uneven for teachers. Thus, many problems can be caused due to the unpredictableness of this reasoning.
