“What I Learned from Nate the Great and the Halloween Hunt”

In Nate the Great and the Halloween Hunt, the main characters are Nate the Great, Rosamond, Annie, and Esmeralda’s four cats—Little Hex, Big Hex, Super Hex, and Plain Hex. The mystery begins when Rosamond says that all four of her cats have disappeared. Nate listens carefully to her story and decides to solve the case.

He searches bravely in the dark and looks for clues everywhere. He checks Esmeralda’s house and Rosamond’s house again and again. Even when he cannot find Little Hex at first, he keeps trying. At last, he discovers Little Hex hiding inside Rosamond’s basket, and everyone happily celebrates Halloween.

While reading this book, I learned that solving a problem takes patience and careful thinking. Nate the Great never gives up, even when the clues are confusing or hard to find. He also listens closely to others, which helps him understand what to do next. I think this story teaches us that if we stay calm, look closely, and keep trying, we can solve problems too—just like Nate the Great.
